How to use;

Condition(A)と、Constant Result(B)

=When A happens, the result is always B.

ドアの前(まえ)に立(た)つ、ドアが開(あ)く。

If/When you stand in front of the door, the door [always] opens.

そこを右(みぎ)にまがる、えきがある。

If/When you turn right there, there is [always] a station.

おさけを飲(の)む、顔(かお)が赤(あか)くなる。

If/When I drink alcohol, I [always] get red in the face.

と is used for objective descriptions like natural phenomenons, machine operations, giving directions, etc.
